ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) is a European institute whose goal is to promote and improve clinical practice, organise training activities and provide advice to improve safety and quality assurance in the clinical and laboratory sphere.

This institute also awards the top clinics based on evaluation of clinical activities and safety and the highest European standards of IVF centres.

ESHRE carefully chooses who to award with this quality and good practice certificate. The ESHRE certificate should assure patients and professionals that all processes related to clinical services, laboratory procedures and research activities are carried out accordingly to the highest standards of safety and quality of the quality management system.

It is a long-term process whereby a multidisciplinary team of inspectors/assessors first review the information provided about the clinic and, based on this information, plan a series of site visits to verify that the centres do indeed meet ESHRE safety and quality standards.
